Bank of Maldives (BML) reports overall financial improvement for the first quarter of 2022 compared with the preceding quarter in 2021.
According to the national bank of the island nation, BML generated a profit after tax MVR554 million which is an 18 percent increment when compared with the preceding Q4-2021.
In addition to this, this is also a 55 percent increment when compared with the corresponding quarter of Q1-2021.
Moreover, the bank's operating profit for the quarter stood at MVR612 million which is a 10 percent increase when compared with the last quarter of 2021 and a 14 percent bump compared to Q1-2021.
Meanwhile, the bank's CEO and Managing Director Mr. Tim Sawyer expressed his delight over the continued financial improvement of the bank.
