A hearing of Nabeel’s appeal case has been scheduled for next Wednesday at 1100 hours.
Nabeel was sentenced to death after the criminal court found him guilty of killing S.Hulhudhoo Lillymaage Abdullah Farhaad. In the last hearing the state said that there is no reason that the Criminal Court’s verdict should be overturned because based on the testimonies of witnesses and Nabeel’s own confession he was proven guilty.
Nabeel was sentenced to death in 2010. Later when the case was appealed at High Court، high court also maintained the ruling of the lower court. The case has been recommended by the state to supreme court because Nabeel did not appeal in the given period.
