Jumhooree Party did not make any clandestine deals- JP

Jumhooree Party has said that the party will not make clandestine deals and the party will never agree to oppose the constitution.
Jumhooree Party made this remark following the spread of an agreement in the social media which is claimed to be an agreement signed between Jumhooree Party and Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
The Secretary General of the party, Ahmed Sameer said that the Jumhooree Party did not make any such agreements with the MDP.
“I believe that the agreement is a plot of the government. This is a very cheap tactic. Shows that whoever did this is desperate,” he said.
Sameer said that this shows the level the government has stooped to. He said that the government is now is extremely worried with the MDP joining Jumhooree Party to make the government accountable regarding their violations of the constitution.
Sameer said that the agreement that will be signed between Jumhooree Party and MDP to protect the constitution will not be a clandestine agreement but will be publicized.
“We are standing together to preserve the constitution not break it and violate it and oppose it,” he said.
In addition to this, Sameer said that this apparent and clear from the life of Gasim Ibrahim, the leader of the Jumhooree Party.
