President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyom has said the land reclamation for the ihavan project will begin later this year.
Speaking in the inauguration of the sewerage network and the beach protection project, the President said the government wished to work with MTCC on the initiative. He said he wished to see MTCC achieve the same standards as the contractor of the reclamation of the second phase of Hulhumale’ as well. He said the development of those companies was a development to the whole of the nation, creating jobs as well.
President Yameen added that the Government was proceeding as planned under the Ihavan project. He said the project had cost over MVR 4 billion. He noted that with the development of the area, the HA. Sector of the nation will see rapid progress in the nation.
President Yameen had assured that he would not relinquish power by street protests, noting that patriots will see no reason from doing this surgery.
