Jailam Ahmed Shakir، the 24 year old youth who died during treatment last night following a serious stabbing، sustained severe injuries to his neck، ADK Hospital said on Sunday.
Ahmed Af’aal، Managing Director of ADK said Jailam was stabbed at 12 places، including a serious wound to the neck، severing blood major blood vessels، which stopped blood flow to his brain.
In addition the hospital informed that a sharp object was pierced in his lungs from the back، also in the abdomen، and four wounds were on his arms which resulted in showing bones in his left arm.
Police said Jailam was attacked while he was seated in front of “Hundred Flower” house in the road in front of Dharubaaruge at around 22:10 on Saturday night.
Reports say he was stabbed by a group of four individuals، who came on motorcycles and fled after the attack. Following the attack، a group of people at the area reportedly took Jailam to the hospital on a pick-up.
He died during treatment in ADK at around 23:15 on Saturday night.
Police said today they have not arrested any suspects regarding the case.
