Scheduled trial hearing over Jailam Ahmed Shakir’s murder case for today، has been cancelled.
Jailam was attacked with a sharp weapon earlier this year outside the residence of Henveiru Hundred Flower، near Dharubaaruge area by a group of masked assailants، who fled the scene on motorcycles after incident.
State is pressing charges against Naseeb Saeed، Venus Villa، Feydhoo، Addu atoll، Ismail Aneeg، V. Sinamalé، Ali Irufan، Jafna، Gnaviyani Atoll Fuvahmulah.
State has also pressed charges against Mohamed Humaid، Fiyajahaage، G.A. Vilingili who still at large. Interpol is actively pursuing him as well.
Initially the case was not accepted by Criminal Court، however it was accepted after an order from High Court.
