President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has departed Maldives on a non-official visit.
President’s Office has informed that President Yameen departed to Malaysia on a non-official visit، on Tuesday night. They informed that the visit was conducted for a medical purpose of President’s son، Zeine Abdulla Yameen.
President has previously left the country on several occasions، mainly on non-official trips، mostly to Singapore. Opposition politicians have criticized president’s frequent ‘going out of the country’.
They claimed that President leaves the country so often as he is suffering from a sickness، however، their claims were denied by the Government.
