BML advises against new wave of scam calls

Bank of Maldives (BML) made a public announcement, advising against a new wave of scam calls.
Moreover, the bank addresses these calls, under pretext of account issues inquire customers to transfer money from personal accounts to different bank accounts.
BML confirms mounting reports of such calls in recent months, noting the scam calls generally state issues to bank’s systems or malfunctions.
Furthermore, the bank advises its customers to be cautious over such calls.
In a statement, BML assures the bank will not contact inquiring personal details of its customers.
Moreover, BML affirms the bank will not contact requesting to transfer money to different accounts.
Additionally, the bank attests it will never contact customers via mobile phone numbers.
