MDP have said that former President Nasheed will address the nation upon returning to Maldives.
MDP’s spokesperson Imthiyaz Fahmy said that once he returns to Maldives, several activities will begin near Reefside junction to welcome him. He said that President Nasheed will deliver a speech at the ceremony.
President Nasheed will return to Maldives on 1st November according to MDP. According to some sources, he will be welcomed at Velana International Airport as well.
Meanwhile the Supreme Court has ordered all state authorities to delay executing Nasheed’s jail sentence.
