Maldives welcomes over 950,000 tourists so far in 2025

The Maldives has recorded over 950,000 tourist arrivals so far this year.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, 950,212 tourists have visited the country so far this year. This is an increase of 70,320 tourists compared to 879,892 tourists that visited during the same period last year.

Of the tourist arrivals, 71.3 percent , which amounts to 677,848, spent their holidays at resorts. Meanwhile, guesthouses accounted for 220,581 tourists or 23.2 percent of total arrivals. Hotels accounted for 27,791 tourists, 23,331 for liveaboards, and 660 tourists for other tourism facilities. 
There are currently 175 resorts, 844 guesthouses, 158 safari vessels and 16 hotels operating in the country.
