Saudi Arabia has gifted an additional 10 tons of dates to the Maldives, further strengthening the longstanding ties between the two nations.
The official handover ceremony took place yesterday at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, with senior officials from the Saudi Embassy in attendance. Speaking at the event, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed expressed gratitude for the continued support from the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
This follows a previous donation of 50 tons of dates, which has already been distributed across the islands. The annual gift of dates from Saudi Arabia, particularly during Ramadan, reflects the close and historic relationship between the two countries.
