The Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development has announced the commencement of applications for higher education scholarships to study in Türkiye. These scholarships, according to the ministry, furnish recipients with the opportunity to undertake their studies at universities and tertiary educational institutions in Türkiye.
The scholarships present opportunities for students to pursue bachelor's and master's degree programmes. Applicants are required to adhere to the criteria set forth by the Maldives Medical and Dental Council and meet the admissions standards specified by their chosen higher education institutions in Türkiye, the ministry said.
The scholarships encompass tuition fees, medical insurance, and a portion of accommodation expenses. According to the ministry, these opportunities extend across a broad spectrum of academic disciplines.
The ministry further disclosed that all eligible applicants will be put forward for consideration. The selection process for scholarship recipients will be conducted by the entity providing the scholarships.
The ministry also stated that the list of universities and colleges where studies can be pursued is available on its website. According to the announcement, applications will be accepted until 2 p.m. on 18 February. Submissions can be made through the ministry's Edu Portal.
