The Hanimaadhoo Council in Haa Dhaalu Atoll yesterday opened a tender to find a party to construct a mosque on a contract basis at the Hanimaadhoo Harbour.
In accordance with the information provided by the Hanimaadhoo Council, interested and eligible parties wishing to construct a mosque at the island’s harbour are invited to register through the dedicated link to submit their proposals.
Registration for this tender is open until 11:00 AM on Sunday, December 28, 2025. The submission and opening of proposals will take place at 11:00 AM on January 21st at the Hanimaadhoo Council Office.

The Hanimaadhoo Council stated that only parties registered as businesses with the Ministry of Economic Development and who have clarified information and registered for this specific tender will be eligible to submit proposals.
Currently, the government is also constructing a mosque in Hanimaadhoo. This project is being carried out by MTCC.
Hanimaadhoo currently has three mosques. One of these mosques was built with the generous assistance of the Alifulhuthuthu Foundation.
