The incident comes two weeks after a landing craft capsized while en route to K. Eriyadhoo, resulting in the death of three crew members aboard.
With two fatal landing craft capsizing incidents occurring so close to each other, it raises the question of whether proper safety standards are being followed aboard landing crafts operating in the Maldives.
