The futsal court was inaugurated by the Deputy Sports Minister Abdul Muhsin Hameed. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Muhsin said the futsal court was possible due to the hard work of the island residents. He also expressed gratitude to the Mathiveri Union Club for their prominent role in the project. “Sports facilities are developing fast in this island despite the small population,” he remarked. Muhsin also inaugurated the Mathiveri Youth Centre on Thursday. The centre is a spacious complex with facilities for various sports, established by the joint collaboration of the Sports Ministry and Mathiveri Union Sports Club.
