Chairman of Beijing Urban Construction Group Daihua Chen have said that the President of China Mr. Xi Jinpin prioritizes conducting projects in Maldives and that their company is ready to conduct more projects in Maldives.
Speaking at the ceremony held to launch the runway development project of Velana International Airport Mr.Chen said that the relation between Maldives and China are strengthening from all areas after President Xi Jinping’s visit to Maldives in 2014. He said that even the airport runway project is being conducted through these relations. In addition, he said that Maldives is a partner of the Silk Route project of China and the airport is an important place of business. He said that the silk route will also benefit from it when the airport is developed.
He noted that the relations between Maldives and China are strong in all areas. He assured that, Beijing Urban Construction Group will assist develop Maldives.
