8 Police officers who witnessed the events of 8th February in Addu City Gan have given their accounts against the arson-accused during Monday’s hearing.
The witnesses said that the accused threw stones at the assembled police officers، battered their shields، and refused to heed police’s commands. One of the witnesses said that one of the accused told him later that night that they had set the police station ablaze. Another said that someone had called him and told him of the fire as well.
Of those summoned to the Criminal Court today، 3 were absent، and the hearing proceeded in their absence.
