The Minister of External Affairs of India، Sushma Swaraj has concluded her official visit to the Maldives and departed this afternoon.
Minister Sushma arrived in Maldives yesterday، leading the Indian delegation for the Fifth India-Maldives Joint Commission meeting. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this morning.
Maldives delegation was lead by Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon.
During the meeting held، the two countries have agreed to collaborate in number of sectors including defence، security، trade، economic، health، culture، education، civil aviation.
The two counterparts also reassured to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries.
Indian External Affairs Minister also paid a courtesy visit on President Abdulla Yameen on Sunday morning.
