The Saudi Ambassador to Maldives, Muthrik Ahdhausary have said that the government of Saudi Arabia will assist in maintaining the mosques built by Saudi Arabia in Maldives.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of Kumundhoo Mosque, the ambassador noted the importance of mosques and said that the government of Saudi will continue to build mosques in Maldives and that they are doing it for a good intention.
Speaking at the ceremony, Islamic Minister Dr.Ahmed Ziyaad Baaqir said that historically mosques played a great role in promoting harmony in the society. He advised everyone to make the best use of the new mosques.
The minister talked about the importance of societal harmony and urged everyone to work for such a society. He also asked everyone to work together to make sure that the mosques are clean.
Saudi government will assist in maintaining the mosques in addition to constructing them
