As promised by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom during his speech in the Disability Awards function، jobs have been offered to handicapped youth. 
During the special function to inaugurate Ministry of Law & Gender’s Special Services and Work at National Arts Gallery on Monday night، Island Aviation and Fenaka Corporation offered jobs for two handicapped youth.
Under a special program implemented by the Government to offer jobs to the handicapped، Island Aviation offered the job to Ahmed Asif of Th. Kinbidhoo Haveereege. Letter of Job Appointment was given to Asif by the Managing Director of Island Aviation، Abdulla Haris.
Second job was offered by Fenaka Corporation to Ali Faiz of B. Dhonfanu Muringu. His Letter of Appointment was given by the Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation، Mohamed Nimal.
Law & Gender Ministry said that Maldives Ports Authority have confirmed to offer three job opportunities for handicapped youth who are without a job.
Further، Law & Gender said more ministries and institutions will offer job opportunities for the handicapped youth.
