Official celebration to commemorate the 50th anniversary since Maldives became independent، has kicked off under the title “Minivan 50” (Independence 50).
The grand opening of “Minivan 50” celebrations have initiated with a live show held at Henveiru Football Stadium، “Minivan 50 Sarindha”.
The special ceremony was inaugurated tonight by President Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
Government initiated celebrations of the 50th Independence anniversary of Maldives will be carried through out the year in batch events.
Tonight’s “Minivan 50 Sarindha” is participated by various local musicians and singers، including some of the famous local acts like FasyLive، Unoosha (Kiddy)، Olympians and many other local talents. The event is organized under the joint collaboration of Home Ministry and National Centre for the Arts.
