Japan is a key development partner: Minister Dunya

Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon has stated that Japan is a key partner in the nation’s development.
She made the statement briefing the press prior to her departure to Tokyo to take part in the World Assembly for Women to be held on the 28th and the 29th of this month.
Dunya stated that President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom had discussed with Japanese Prime Minister on a wide range of topics mainly on developmental projects, during his trips to Japan.
Minister Dunya noted that bilateral relations between the two nations have been established for 48 years. She added that Japan had been providing assistance in climate change projects of the nation.
Foreign Ministry reported that Minister Dunya will meet her Japanese counterpart in the trip and will hold discussions on expediting the development projects.
