Adhaalath Party has stated that the government was trying to seize all the properties of Gasim Ibrahim, the Jumhooree Party leader.
In a press release issued by the Adhaalath Party on Friday night, the party stated that the leader of the biggest opposition party, President Mohamed Nasheed is imprisoned while the government is trying to seize all the properties of Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim.
The party stated that they condemn these oppression by the government including the arrest of the party leader Sheikh Imran Abdulla during the Mayday protest.
According to the press statement, Adhaalath Party stated that the government wants to preserve their rule using an iron fist.
It added that the government is trying to rule with power, by jailing all of the key political leaders who are threats to the government.
The statement reiterated that the government was getting ready to freeze the assets of Gasim Ibrahim.
