Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) President and Dhaalu Atoll Meedhoo Constituency Member of Parliament Ahmed Siyam Mohamed delivered a powerful message on Wednesday, calling upon the people to rekindle their commitment to fundamental Islamic duties.
During his Eid-e-Milad address, Siyam emphasized the critical importance of self-reflection as the Maldives commemorates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. He urged citizens to renew their resolve to steadfastly perform the five obligatory prayers, observe fasting, pay zakat, and extend kindness to one another.

"Islam is the direct religion of peace revealed by Allah to eradicate injustice, theft, corruption, and deception," Siyam stated. He expressed concern, however, that "unfortunately, there are people in today’s world who are deliberately working against the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet."
Siyam appealed to the public to "refrain from all the obscene acts being done to insult Islam and the Prophet who was sent as a mercy to all the worlds."
In a heartfelt prayer, Siyam wrote, "May Allah keep us as 100% Muslims forever! And may Allah defeat all the enemies of this holy religion of Islam and always grant victory to the truth!"
Siyam also extended warm congratulations to the people of Maldives and all Muslims worldwide on the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad.
