Blood on the ground after a young man was stabbed
A young man was stabbed and killed in capital Male late Monday.
According to Police, Ahmed Anas, 25, of Raa atoll Meedhoo island, was attacked around 9:00 p.m. in the vicinity of Litus Service Centre. However, photographs circulating on social media depict his bloodied body lying inside the cycle service centre.
The photographs indicate that he was stabbed in the chest near the heart.
There have been an upsurge of gang violence and attacks in Male recently. A youth who was stabbed in a café last Thursday passed away from his injuries on Saturday.
While Police are yet to reveal details, some people have been arrested in connection to gang violence cases.
