Bank of Maldives says nine out of ten of transactions carried out through the bank are done through the internet banking or mobile banking.
Speaking during the launch of BML’s Customer Service Center at Male’ Square apartments last Sunday night, CEO and Managing Director of BML, Andrew Healy said more than four million of its customers’ transactions over the past year were carried out online.
“Over the past year, four million transactions were carried out through Self-Service ATMs, mobile app and internet banking,” said Healy.
Healy said than nine of out every ten transactions were carried out through internet banking or mobile banking.
Healy said he believed online banking channels offered by the bank will provide its customers with modern, high-quality, and more convenient services.
BML introduced its mobile banking application in July, 2015. It introduced Mobile Pay services in July, 2016 and modernized and re-launched its internet banking platform this year.
