State Minister of Fisheries Ministry، Zaha Waheed and Deputy State Minister of Gender Ministry، Aminath Nadhira have been demoted.
Zaha Waheed who was the State Minister of Fisheries Ministry has been demoted to the position of an executive coordinator. Likewise، Aminath Nadhira who was the Deputy State Minister of Gender Ministry was demoted to the position of executive coordinator as well.
While the reason for the demotion has not been announced yet، the government has not commented on this change at all yet.
Zaha is a niece of both President Abdulla Yameen and PPM’s President Maumoon. Zaha is also a former General Secretary of PPM.
While both Zaha and Nadhira did not participate in President Yameen’s re-election convention، it is said that they both are loyal to former President Maumoon.
