Work is being to transfer the youth who received serious injuries during the deadly accident which took place in Maradhoo، Addu City last night، to Malé City for further medical attention.
The accident took place when a pickup travelling from Gan side on Maradhoo main road and a motorcycle travelling from Hithadhoo side to Gan side on Maradhoo main road collided. The youngster who received serious injuries and being treated at the ICU of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital is 18 year old Mohamed Firushan of Kudhiruvaa Ge، Maradhoo.
Speaking to Vaguthu، an official of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital told Vaguthu that Firushan received serious injuries to his head. Official said that in addition to his head injuries، blood is also coming out from Firushan’s ears as well.
“After looking at the test results، it’s believed that blood has flowed to his brain، so we have decided to transfer him to Malé”، said the official.
Official also said that it is predicted that a bone in Firushan’s shoulder has also been broken. Firushan was the rider of the motorcycle when the accident took place.
Hike this accident took place at 9.20 p، last night، the person on the backseat of the motorcycle is 15 year old Ibrahim Muizzu، Faagathi، Maradhoo. Other than his skin being peeled off in some regions، he received no other injuries.
Police are investigating this accident further.
