Nooru Adam Hasan Fulhu، 29، injured in the stabbing incident near Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) last night died in treatment.
He was stabbed to his neck and his lower back، near IGMH at around 01:30 last night، and died at 03:30 at the hospital، reports say.
An eyewitness at the scene said Nooru was attacked by two people on a motorbike، on the road، to the side of Police Guard and the Emergency Room of IGMH.
Nooru was with six of his friends when he was attacked، witness said. Furthermore، the witness said the Police were also in the vicinity، however، the attackers fled on the motorbike before Police reacted.
Another witness at the hospital at the time of the attack said he go out to the road due to screams، and that the victim had the knife impaled in his lower back. He further said the knife fell off the time Nooru was put on the stretcher.
In reference to a woman who witnessed the incident، a source at the hospital said the attackers were wearing masks، however، can be identified if seen.
Police have not disclosed if they have detained any suspects regarding the case.
Another youth was attacked by a metal bar at around 23:45 on Saturday night، however، was reportedly being treated at the hospital – no serious injuries.
This is the third murder in the last 8 days. A man in L. Mundoo was killed in a stabbing on 20 March، and a Bangladeshi man was brutally murdered in a Cafe’ on 22 March.
