Maldives Police Service (MPS) has begun their investigation on an abortion case in Dhaalu atoll Maa’enboodhoo.
Police Media Official said the authority has begun probing a case of abortion in Mee’enboodhoo، reported by Dhaalu Atoll Hospital.
Reports say the woman aborted the baby، after 16-17 weeks، and consulted to the hospital as the bleeding did not stop after the abortion. Reportedly، the baby was buried after the abortion.
Though no one has been arrested، reports say the cemetery of Maa’enboodhoo has been closed by the Police.
