Hassan Latheef، a lawyer of former President Moahamed Nasheed’s legal attorneys said that he is concerned that President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is still refusing for the MRI scan of President Mohamed Nasheed.
The statement was made in a tweet he posted today.

A letter signed by Hassan Latheef sent to Home Minister Umar Naseer on 1st June، states to arrange for an MRI scan for the former President Nasheed who is serving 13 years of jail sentence due to proven terrorism charges.
The letter states that MRI scan has been prescribed by the doctor in Maafushi Prison when President Nasheed consulted the doctor on 7th May.
The letter further states that President Nasheed has suffered severe injuries while he was brought to court on February 23rd and stated that the injuries were left unattended after several requests for treatment.
The requests for the MRI has been continuously requested by the lawyers team and as well the family، however، the request was not accepted، the letter stated.
