Bank of Maldives on Wednesday, 26 August, made announcement of changes to its process on incoming credit to USD accounts from online foreign transfer platforms (FTPs).
Moreover, the bank will no longer allow incoming credit to its USD accounts through Visa Direct, Mastercard Send or similar platforms.
With the change, withdrawals from foreign digital wallets or peer-to-peer (P2p) transfers through such platforms will be allowed into MVR accounts.
Moreover, BML confirms withdrawal of funds is still possible but only through MVR accounts.
