Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced changes to its SMS notifications.
The bank stated that starting 23 September, their awareness message and promotional information will be sent via SMS with the id “BML” while online transaction alerts and OTP will be sent via “455”.
Previously, all SMS notifications by BML were sent via 455. The bank noted that this change was for the convenience of all their customers.
BML had also advised their customers to stay vigilant of fraudsters sending SMS with external notifications. They urged customers to not click any such external links, as the bank does not send out notifications with links.
