Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the Maldives, Yahya Hassan Al-Qahtani, said that the ‘Vara Expo’ will provide valuable information on opportunities available to Maldivians in Saudi Arabia. The Ambassador made the remarks in a video message shared regarding the expo.
The Vara Expo, organised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Employment and Skills Development, is aimed at strengthening the Maldivian workforce by increasing local participation in the national labour market, enhancing skills and abilities needed to further develop the workforce, and empowering youth through digital innovations.
Ambassador Al-Qahtani said Saudi Arabia invites all Maldivians to attend the expo, where information will be available on education, scholarship, tourism and innovation opportunities in Saudi Arabia. He said details about the Visit Saudi Programme such as information on fees, as well as information on the Makkah Road Initiative will be provided during the event.
The Vara Expo will take place from 6 to 8 November at Central Park, Hulhumale’. The objective of the expo is to bring together job seekers, education seekers, employers, higher education institutions and vocational training institutions under one platform.
