Maldives Police Service, on Monday, said the 14-year-old girl who was reported missing from F. Nilandhoo was located late last night, four hours after she was reported missing to the authority.
The young girl was reported missing at approximately 22:15pm last night.
Police, citing the girl’s family, said she had not been seen after she left home on Sunday evening. As such, the authority said it had initiated search efforts to locate her in collaboration with Nilandhoo Council and residents.
According to the Police, the girl was found in good health at approximately 2:40am last night.
When questioned by Sun, Nilandhoo Council President Ali Ahmed said the girl was found near the Waste Management Centre on the island. He added that the girl showed no signs of injury during a checkup at the island’s hospital.
