In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the President extended his congratulations and best wishes to the entire healthcare community and expressed gratitude for the continued support and advice of Maldivian doctors in strengthening the nation’s healthcare services.
Doctors’ Day is marked in the Maldives on April 18 to honor the date in 1964 when the first Maldivian doctor began practicing in the country. The day serves to acknowledge the essential contributions of medical professionals and to highlight their expanding role in advancing the national healthcare system.
