The “TER Sports Fest 2025,” organized by Thakandhoo Ekuveringe Roohu (TER) of HA. Thakandhoo, has concluded successfully.
In the women’s volleyball tournament held during the festival, Team Kanbullo emerged as champions, while SC Veloras secured the championship in the men’s futsal tournament.
In the women’s volleyball final, Team Manje finished as the runners-up. The title of the tournament’s best player, or “Volleyball Queen,” was awarded to Ramziyya Abdullah of Team Kanbullo.
The top six players of the volleyball tournament were Reena Abdullah (Hiyala), Siyaza Ibrahim (Kanbullo), Hawwa Shifana (Manje), Shahama Abdul Kareem (Manje), Ramziyya Abdullah (Kanbullo), and Rasheeda Mohamed (Kanbullo).
In the men’s futsal final, Golden FC finished as runners-up after competing against SC Veloras. Jazlan Jaufar of SC Veloras was named the tournament’s best player, or “Futsal King.” The top five players of the tournament were Hussain Adam (Golden FC), Naail Abdullah (SC Veloras), Jazlan Jaufar (SC Veloras), Ibrahim Mohamed (Golden FC), and Rauhan Riffath (SC Veloras).
The main sponsor of the festival was STO. Additionally, Swan Family, Aboody, Circle A, the Thakandhoo Council Secretariat, Apnea Maldives, Junius, Listo, Clamp Company, and Volk provided assistance in conducting the tournament.
The closing ceremony of the festival was hosted by the renowned presenter and journalist Ahmed Hamheed Adam, a native of Thakandhoo. The Member of Parliament for the Baarashu constituency, Ibrahim Shujau, also attended the closing ceremony.
