BML, MIB to Close for Five Days Over New Year

Bank of Maldives Plc. (BML) and Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) have announced that their branches and service centres will be closed on 31 December, coinciding with the New Year holiday.
In separate announcements, BML and MIB revealed that all their branches and service centres will remain closed on 31 December 2024. This closure will extend through the New Year holiday, with operations resuming on 5 January 2025.
BML advised its customers to note the closure period and complete their banking needs before 31 December to avoid any inconvenience during the holiday season. Despite the closure of physical branches, BML assured its customers that alternative banking services will remain operational. BML’s mobile banking, self-service ATMs, and customer support services will continue to function, ensuring uninterrupted banking services for its customers, it said.
Similarly, MIB confirmed that its e-banking services, ATM facilities, and customer care centres will be operational during the holiday period to ensure customers have access to essential banking services without disruption.
