Maldivian has launched a 'Throughfare' service that connects three international destinations with domestic flights to the Maldives.
With this service, customers traveling on domestic flights will be able to book their desired international destination in the itinerary when purchasing tickets. The service will be available on domestic flights to Dhaka, Bengaluru, and Colombo. Passengers arriving from these three destinations will also have the option to book domestic flights within the same itinerary.
The new service aims to streamline the ticket booking process and address common issues faced by travelers.
Passengers utilizing the Throughfare service will receive up to a 5 percent discount. The same baggage allowance will be provided for both international and domestic travel, offering passengers greater flexibility and accessibility.
In the near future, Throughfare services will be expanded to include Trivandrum and Kochi in India, as announced by the company.
Maldivian currently operates domestic flights to 16 destinations within the Maldives.
