To become the political party with the second largest number of members، the Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) has begun a door-to-door campaign.
Speaking to Vaguthu، MDA Youth Wing leader Ahmed Reehan said the campaign has no deadline، and has so far brought in several youth. He said that this highlights the importance of youth for the party، and the importance of the government towards the youth.
Reehan said within six hours، over hundred signed for the party، and more will be signing for the party during the D2D campaign today.
Furthermore، Reehan said under the campaign، more activities are organized، including a football tournament، inaugurating official page، website and the logo of the party.
In addition، Reehan noted that MDA has been، from the beginning، a loyal friend to ruling party and a partner to the ruling coalition، and also assured that the party will stand firm alongside president Abdulla Yameen during 2018 presidential election.
As of the last publication by Elections Commission، opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has the largest number of members in a political party in the Maldives. Ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) is on the second.
