Mohamed Shifaz، the vice president of opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) is set to depart to London tonight to take part in the annual conference of UK’s ruling Conservative Party، MDP said.
The party has stated that MDP’s chairperson Ali Waheed، who is currently living in London، will also take part in the conference to be held at Manchester from 4 to 7 October.
The conference is the first general meeting of the party since it won the general elections. UK’s Prime Minister and the leader of the party، David Cameron will take part in the conference.
Furthermore، MDP stated that Shifaz and Ali Waheed will take part in policy dialogues، as well as meet with senior officials of the UK Government.
