All Maldivian hajj pilgrims return home

All of the Maldivian pilgrims who had attended this year’s hajj pilgrimage have returned back home.
A total of 2,000 people departed to Mecca for this year’s hajj, out of which 1,300 are sponsored by the State-owned Hajj Corporation, while the remaining 700 are from three private groups.
After performing their pilgrimage, they started returning back to Maldives starting from 28th September. As such, the first arrival was the Hajj Corporation’s group.
1,766 pilgrims from Hajj Corporation, as well as the Mina Hajj and Umra Group, plus Zaee Group arrived via Mega Maldives. The airliner had made total of 12 trips to send them as well as receive them.
The last group, which arrived today morning, is from Sisilfaru Hajj and Umra Group.
Meanwhile, special clinics in state hospitals were established exclusively for the pilgrims, to address any medical ailments that they may have suffered or contracted. These clinics - which will remain open from September 29 to October 20 - will conduct diagnosis and treatment on symptoms such as coughing, respiratory problems and even fever. Means have been also implemented to eliminate any waiting time in these clinics, so that consultation with the doctor and seeking of treatment is swift and hassle-free.
Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) reports that, the pilgrims have not suffered any other ailments - except a common cold, and that all of them are in good health.
