ADB reports regarding obstacles on Maldivian development

A report released by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) says that a lack of professional workers and decrease in experienced workers is an obstacle towards continued development in Maldives.
The report, dubbed ‘The Challenges of a Small Island State, Country Diagnostic Studies Report’ was released by Vice-President Adeeb.
The report highlighted the four major obstacles against sustained development in Maldives. It says that not having professional works or experience workers was an obstacle, as is the lack of a proper transport system, a method of obtaining finance for medium to small businesses, and the increase of Maldivian debt.
Discussing about the actions that can be taken to overcome these, it suggested to focus Maldivian economy into a different sector in addition to tourism, inclusion of business tactics in the school curriculum - to familiarize students with the economy, and introducing new industries to teach about students apart from the current industries.
The report also talked about the importance of bringing all citizens to one island, and develop transport within the country.
