Maldivian Scout contingent participating in the SG 50 Singapore International Jumboree, organized by the Singapore Scout Association, departs to Singapore last night.
Seventeen scouts and one scout leader will represent Maldives in this year’s jamboree held under the theme “Celebrate Singapore”.
Eight scouts from G.Dh Thinadhoo Abubakr School, two scouts from G.Gh Thinadhoo School, Four Scouts from Lhaviyani Atoll Education Centre, two rover scouts from Madhrasathul Arabiyyathul Islamiyya and a scout from A. Dh Kumburudhoo school are participating in the jamboree.
The contingent is led by member of the National Scout Council and Principal of Hiriya School, Ismail Masroof.
The jamboree which goes on from 18th to 22nd November will be attended by over 5000 scouts from all over the world.
