A team from the Maldivian Democratic Party's International Relations Committee has flown to Sri Lanka in order to discuss the current political situation in the Maldives.
The team that left on Friday morning include former Parliament Speaker and MDP’s International Relations Committee leader Abdulla Shahid, committee member Ahmed Thasmeen Ali, and Nasheed’s legal advisor Hassan Latheef.
MDP stated that the team will be conveying information to foreign institutions regarding former President Nasheed’s transfer back to prison from house arrest, his wife Laila Ali’s summon to Police, and the current political situation in Maldives.
