Former Commissioner of Police Hussain Waheed، who was dismissed earlier tonight، has been appointed as a State Minister at the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure.
The appointment has been confirmed by the President’s Office.
Spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz Ali said that President Abdulla Yameen brough changes to the Maldives Police Service (MPS)، to consolidate it’s administrations.
Meanwhile، DCP Mohamed Sadiq was appointed as a Deputy Minister at Ministry of Law and Gender، and DCP and the interim CP Hassan Habeeb was appointed as a Deputy Minister at Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure.
