Bad weather to persist across Maldives until Tuesday

The Maldives Meteorological Service has warned that the spell of bad weather affecting the country is expected to continue until at least next Tuesday.
The Maldives has been experiencing widespread rain, strong winds, and rough seas since last week due to the strengthening of the Southwest Monsoon.
The weather agency forecasts scattered showers, including a few heavy showers and thunderstorms, across the country on Tuesday. Winds are expected to be southwesterly to westerly at 10–20 miles per hour, with gusts reaching up to 35 miles per hour during showers.
Sea conditions are expected to remain moderate to rough, with wave heights between 3 and 6 feet.
A white alert has been issued for the area between N. Atoll and F. Atoll, warning of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour, effective until 5:00 p.m.
