The opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has said that President Abdulla Yameen and Home Minister Umar Naseer cannot dismiss their responsibilities، while President made a remark that there are undue influence exerted over security forces، and used to commit terror.
In a statement issued، responding to presidential address of Sunday، MDP said the party does not believe that President Yameen and Home Minister Umar can get away without taking the responsibilities، while claiming that the security forces were compromised.
The party said the administration has been running exactly the way President need it to be، therefore he cannot dismiss his own responsibilities over claims he made.
Moreover، noting that the events which unfolded within the security forces occurred with Umar Naseer as the home minister، MDP said that he cannot، as well، neglect his own responsibilities over the incidents.
