Health Minister Irthisham Adam has urged graduates to serve the health sector after graduation.
She made the appeal speaking in the graduation ceremony of the students of Maldives National University held last night in Dharubaaruge
Minister Irthisham said that she was glad that many students had graduated in Public Health, adding that this was a boost to the sector. She also reflected on the importance of training local nurses. Irthisham said that ten opportunities had been given by foreign nations and the applications had been opened up last week.
She added that the establishment of a medical university in the country had been in plans for years. Minister said that the under President Yameen’s tenure, the university will be established with the participation of MNU and Health Ministry.
