The new Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Mr. Žigmund Bertók, has called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Ms. Dunya Maumoon.
At the meeting held at the Foreign Ministry this morning, Foreign Minister Dunya welcomed the Ambassador and congratulated him on his appointment. Foreign Minister Dunya also noted the close bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed ways of further strengthening the ties between the two countries in areas such as economic cooperation.
The Ambassador assured his commitment to working with the Government in strengthening the relations between the two countries and increasing cooperation between the two countries in various areas for mutual benefit.
Foreign Minister Dunya was accompanied by Ms. Fathimath Inaya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Hussain Jahhaz, Senior Desk Officer of the Foreign Ministry of the Maldives.
